How to Sell more Raffle Tickets
At Superstars we run a raffle fundraiser at least once a year. We give each of our athletes a goal of the minimum number of tickets to sell (but encourage them to sell more with prizes and incentives).
Some do an amazing job every time - and yet others don't make their minimum target :(
Here are some tips to help you sell more raffle tickets (and increase your chances of winning a 'Sold By' prize)...
*Post on your social media about the prizes and ticket price and ask people to get in touch with you if they want to buy. If anyone 'likes' 'loves' or 'favourites' your post - get in touch with them directly.
*Bring tickets with you to family occasions / gatherings and ask nicely.
*Tell friends at school about the prizes and the ticket price. If they want to buy one - check with their parents (if under 16yrs) but try to secure the sale.
*Use some of these phrases when trying to close a sale...
- Go on. It's only £2.
- It's for a good cause. New equipment helps keep us safe.
- What might you spend that £2 on that you could give up for the chance to win [insert the prize they most want here]?
- If they give you a £5 note - try to upsell them to 2 tickets by saying - 'Can I interest you in 2? You'll still get change from this fiver.'
