National Champions 2014

This weekend the team earned their first National Champion title of 2014. It was an emotional and tough weekend but the team pulled together on the floor to put out a strong performance in round 1 and an even cleaner and more powerful one in round 2 which lead to them earning 1st place in Senior Hip Hop at ICC Nationals 2014 in Nottingham.

The win was especially sweet as this was the debut for the Superstars Hip Hop team which we've been hoping to put together since 2012. It finally came together with our competition dance team members tackling a style which none had previous experience of. Nerves came out at the competition when seeing the others in the division who had powerful and classic hip hop elements. With a more character driven routine, Showtime were concerned whether the judges would favour what they had to offer. But once out on the floor the nerves gave way to a tight performance that ultimately earned the team a huge trohpy, National Champions banner and medals each.

Now the team can't wait to take on BCA Nationals in April following some small technical adjustments to the routine.
