Superstars Shine at Internationals
A selection of Superstars attended one of the biggest competitions in the UK last weekend.
Comprising 4 competitive teams in dance and stunt the cheerleaders hit the beach on Saturday before watching the afternoon session in the Windsor hall for a bit of inspiration.
It was an early start on Sunday morning as our jazz team 'Sensation' were only the second team to grace the marley dance floor that day following the amazing Goldstar.
Following that performance the ladies headed to change immediately for the next performance of the morning. Smackdown - senior open pom were next.
It was an agonising wait for awards but the girls' hard work was rewarded with gorgeous trophies for 2nd and 3rd place for jazz and pom.
The team had an amazing weekend - even considering the grid-lock traffic getting to and leaving Bournemouth. We can't wait to return next year and very much hope to bring even more impressive results home.
The team took a quick dip in the sea before returning for the afternoon session in the Purbeck hall where we had two stunt teams competing; the experienced (and previously double National Champions) Strike, and the brand new underdogs Sting.
Following a less than perfect performance - unfortunately Strike knew it was not their best and that a high placing was unlikely against such fantastic teams. They were correct and were awarded 6th place out of a division of 14.
Sting had less than 3 months together and a brand new flyer. Despite these obstacles they pulled it together to perform a fantastic routine and were elated to recieve 2nd place as their reward.
Check out Sting's fantasticly performed routine here. Next comp we will have that heel stretch in all its' glory!
