CheerSport Wales Champions
Reading Superstars attended CheerSport Wales National Competition on May 19th with a selection of their dance and stunt performers to compete in 7 divisions. The team were nervous as for many of the routines performed, it was their first time on the competition floor. None-the-less the athletes gave electrifying performances that wowed the audience and the judges.
The results came throughout the day and slowly but surely the team collected 7 first place trophies and titles. Added to the win Senior Group Stunt team Strike secured at the BCA Nationals this brings the Superstars National Champions total to 8.
The team is attended another Nationals this summer - Future Cheer Nationals - with 4 more routines and the goal of reaching at least 10 National Champion titles. Watch this space to see if the team exceeds this goal.
Following the conclusion of our National competitions we also plan to attend a final regional this summer - BCA Midlands. The program will be competing in 5 divisions at that event and is again seeking to bring Reading back some GOLD.
